Green Soup - Light, healthy and tasty soup
Green soup! This delicious, easy to make soup is packed with protein and greens.
Spices used
Black pepper powder 1tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Other ingredients
Green peas (fresh/ frozen) 2 cups
Spinach chopped 4 cups
Green pepper diced 2 cups
Mint chopped 1 cup
Onion chopped 1 cup
Salt as per your taste
Water 3 cups
Olive oil 2 tablespoons
Method
Add oil to a heated pan and then add cumin seeds. Once the cumin seeds pop, add onions and cook until they are golden brown. Add peas, salt, pepper powder and cook for ten minutes. Add water and let it come to a boil. Finally add spinach and mint leaves and turn off the flame after a minute or when the leaves are blanched. The leaves loose green color if cooked for a longer time.
Grind everything together in a blender. Garnish it with mint leaves, olive oil and pepper powder and enjoy!
