Green Chicken Saute

Ingredients
- 2 to 2.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs cut into 1 inch pieces
- 3/4 tsp of Spicytude Garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of paprika or red chili powder
- 1 cup of chopped fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 serrano peppers (or any green chillies)
- 1/4 cup of garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup of chopped ginger
- 1/2 cup of greek yogurt (or plain yogurt)
- 1 tsp of salt to taste
- 2 tbsp of olive oil or any cooking oil you prefer
- 1 cup of finely chopped onion
Step 1: Blend
- Blend cilantro, mint, serrano peppers, ginger, garlic and yogurt into a green paste.
Step 2: Marinate the chicken
- Wash chicken.
- Mix together the green paste, turmeric, paprika, salt and Spicytude Garam Masala.
- Pour marinade over the chicken, mix thoroughly and let marinate for at least an hour or overnight in the fridge if possible.
Step 3: Cook
- Heat a pan over medium flame.
- When hot, add two tablespoons of olive oil.
- Add chopped onion to the pan and sauté until onions are golden brown.
- Next, add marinated chicken and sauté for 20 to 25 minutes on medium heat until the water evaporates and the chicken is cooked.
- Serve this delicious spicy chicken with rice, bread or a pita wrap!
